Low Carb Snacks
Everyone manages their Diabetes differently but for a lot of people, whether Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetic, an eating plan that’s lower in carbohydrate proves beneficial in terms of regulating blood sugars and also weight management.
Low carb is also popular with those with Type 1 Diabetes due to the fact that the lower the amount of carbohydrates, the less insulin they will need to inject. It’s not surprising that I see lot’s of posts online asking about ‘no carb’ or ‘low carb’ snack ideas, so here are some of my personal favourites.
Scrambled egg and Avocado
Celery, Carrot and Cucumber with Houmous
Sugar Free Jelly
Greek Yoghurt with Raspberries & Blueberries
Hard Boiled Egg and Ham Salad
Tuna, Cucumber and Sweet Chilli Sauce
Watermelon (high GI so eat in moderation)
Spinach, Pomegranate and Cheese Salad
Prawns and Sweet Chilli dip
